Who Knew

Who knew the type of power our very own tongue has? From the moment we wake up to the second we drift off to sleep, we have the option of choosing what we say and what we think.

Let me write that again.. WE HAVE THE OPTION CHOOSING WHAT WE SAY AND WHAT WE THINK.

 

Choices

Most people do not even understand that this is a choice. We encounter many people each day who have their mind set to think that they have no choice but to abide to others opinions and words, with out realizing it.

 

Others have their minds set in a negative box. The way I see it is these people are trapped in an open box. When you are ‘trapped’ in this negative box you feel as though everything is against you. There is absolutely no way favor will ever be given to you.

 

Positive &. Negative

Whenever I was at work just about a year ago a coworker and I were talking about this very subject. They way this person explained it was amazing. In life, in every situation and in every moment we come across two things that always stick together, a positive and negative. It is our choice to choose what side to be on.

 

The negative outlook on life creates a barrier. Every word is like a brick forming a wall around the mind and heart. This is the very reason why it is SOOO important to keep the armor of God on.

 

Wear Your Helmet

What I have learned (and yes it was the hard way..) is that yes, Ephesians 6 talks about the helmet of salvation but for me it is much more than that. You see on a construction site people are required to wear a helmet. This helmet is what keeps your head safe from any falling objects or anything in that nature.

 

The same is with the spiritual helmet we are to wear. This helmet helps our mind stay protected from anything that might try to bring harm. Any negative comments the enemy has prepared for you.. you don’t have to worry about it because with your helmet on your head is protected by the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The almighty God has you covered.

 

Might I say that this too is a choice whether to wear the helmet or not. People can tell us to keep it on or take it off all they want, but YOU have this choice.

 

What I love about this helmet is that once you begin to wear it those negative thoughts begin to cease. Your mind begins to shift from negative to positive. People will begin to take notice of the change.

What I am about to share with you is one of the many things my mom has taught my sister, brother and I.

 

Be blessed and not stressed. Be anointed and not dissapointed. Raise your praise, and minimize your criticize. Be friend to everybody. I love you!

 

She engraved that into our mind every single morning before school. Yes, there were days I would go through the motions with it, but once it linked with my spirit, my entire world changed.

 

What you Say is What You Get

Whatever comes out of your mouth is what you are going to get. Let me write that in a different way. Whatever you speak over your life is what you are prophesying over your life. The crazy thing is, is that it all comes down to that choice of choosing the positive or negative perspective.

 

Don’t think for one minute that you have to wait for the morning to have speak positive words over your life. No, once you come to agreement in your spirit you can flip your day right around, even if it is only 3 in the afternoon.
